Hey, you!

I have been waiting all summer and fall to share this wedding with you guys…but also to share that it’s been published in the Spring/Summer 2018 issue of Seattle Bride Magazine! It’s a bi-annual magazine that comes out, showcasing the best there is in our home city of Seattle. It was so lovely talking to the crew over there at SBM and making sure we had all our ducks in a row for publication.

If you’re headed to the Seattle Wedding Show  this weekend you can snag your copy there and check it out in person! Here are the sneak peaks of our nearly 2 page spread in the magazine!

Now, let’s get to the REAL stars of the show: Lexi & Scott. Their wedding was something that not only gave me butterflies of excitement …but I have to admit I was SO NERVOUS all year. After working with Lexi at their engagement shoot, knowing I’d be working with one of the best design teams around (holla at ya girls of B+P), I wanted to ensure I could live up to their excellent work and expectations! I was so elated to have a sit down dinner with the vendor team and Lexi several weeks before the wedding. We all had the chance to discuss the details of the wedding and work out any schedule kinks or requests as a team. And of course…share a good margarita.

Needless to say, the wedding was beautiful. More than beautiful, it was breathtaking. I’ve never been so over-the-moon about details, the couple, the party…. in my entire life.

I totally have to share my most memorable moment from their wedding:

It’s 11am on the day of the wedding and it’s also the first time in nearly 50+ days that Washington State has received any type of rain fall. Reception setup was supposed to have began outdoors at 10am but the rain was dampening our progress. Our incredible styling & coordinating crew of Bixby + Pine refused to give up on mother nature. We waited, kept prepping and praying for a break in the skies. Literally hitting refresh on our iPhone Weather App every few minutes. We were faced with the disheartening obligation to migrate the entire reception indoors, which actually caused a few tears to be shed, but we kept on with our faith. The clock inched closer to midday and we are faced with the final decision..Do we feel lucky? Will Mother Nature be on our side?

We go to the bride (Lexi) and ask “Are you feeling lucky today?”…and she replies “I’m feeling lucky”.

Talk about do or die! We stuck to our guns and kept the reception outside…#bestdecisionever . I hope you guys enjoy this entry and these images. It has to be by far one of my all-time-favorite weddings and proudest moments of my young career!
