You guys know how much I love a Discovery Park engagement session, so when Callie & Nick requested it, I was stoked. Discovery Park is by far one of my favorite places to photograph couples in. Firstly, it’s absolutely HUGE with lots of little pockets that change throughout the seasons. Whether it’s fall or summer…even winter, this park can be gorgeous. With the bluffs and fields always backed up to the west, the evening light is perfection.
For Callie & Nick, we actually did a morning session at Discovery Park! Based on schedules and crazy Seattle weather, this was our one and only shot to get..well, the shot. Callie and Nick were just the dang sweetest and I’m SO excited for their JM Cellars wedding this summer.
Callie & Nick met just before the pandemic started in January 2020 at a happy hour. The rest is kind of history. If you can make it through a pandy as a fresh new couple, I think you can make it thru anything. Callie loves how thoughtful and caring Nick is, it makes her feel like she can do anything. While Nick loves that being with Callie makes him want to be a better person. Callie’s caring and empathetic heart is something Nick admires and loves most. Their favorite memory of their relationship so far has been getting their pup Lenny in Montana and their adventures to Whidbey island.
