Hey, you!

Stephanie and Duse couldn’t have planned a better day for their Metropolist wedding in downtown Seattle at one of Seattle’s Best Wedding Venues. Amid the early stages of COVID-19, these two hosted their wedding with hope, love, and extra hand sanitizer.

When it comes to Seattle, there are a LOT of places to choose from. From hotels to aquariums, to open concept industrial-style warehouses. There is a lot. The Metropolist offers a gorgeous set of high ceilings, big windows, and basically a huge room that you can do ANYTHING in. Stephanie and Duse opted for a gorgeous, soft, subtle style with lots of greenery and candles to set the mood.

I love that we began our day with the first look right off the bat. Meeting over at Jack Block Park which overlooks the Seattle city skyline set the mood for the day. When you look over into the city, all the big emotions rushing through your body, you feel invincible and like life is yours for the taking. Duse’s reaction to seeing Stephanie was priceless but not tearless. Ah! A few happy droplets let loose from his eyes as he embraced his soon to be wife. Precious.

From West Seattle, we hopped over to the SODO district for their Metropolist wedding. Using the urban-industrial surroundings we were able to capture some very “Seattle” style portraits. Decide for yourself, but having grown up in the city of grunge, I love a good metal wall and pavement feel to my photos.

With words from their dear friend, an exchange of rings and a kiss to seal the deal, these two were blissfully wed in front of their family and friends. I cannot wait to show you their wedding story…it very well might one of my only weddings from 2020.
