I know you know these faces by now. My longest standing models are celebrating an 11 year anniversary this month and I thought it’d be a great time to showcase their Ruby Beach Anniversary session! 11 years ago, these two agreed to have a “summer fling” together before we all set out for college. Lo and behold, 11 years later these two have traveled across multiple continents, got married, raised one sweet loving pup and are currently on their tour around the U.S.! While none of us could have really known that this summer fling would turn into the love story that it is, everyone who knows these two can agree it’s the best thing that’s ever happened. Well, Sam might argue its second only to the entrance of her pup Oz, into her life.
Always down for an adventure, Sam and Dev agreed to travel across the state of Washington (snacks included) to Ruby Beach on the Olympic Peninsula. Known for her jaw-dropping coastal features, Ruby Beach is one of the best locations in Washington State. It might be a long drive, but with super easy walk-in access, it’s an incredible adventure for low effort. No crazy hiking, just a simple walk down the path to the beach.
With a mix of clouds and a few glimpses of the sun, Ruby Beach treated us well. It was colder than we expected, but Sam and Dev still had fun with it! Starting cute and cozy, we ran up and down the beach line, capturing some fun moments. We changed quickly into their next outfit to catch the tail end of the light for the day. I swear, Sam’s hair needs it’s own instagram. It’s SO DREAMY! Scroll all the way to the yellow dress series and you’ll see what I mean.
