Jessie and Kurt’s wedding was a pretty special one. Their wedding was spaced across two days so that they could have ample time with their family and friends who traveled in to see them. Our time together started on their wedding day, at the Bethany Community church on Friday. It was a relaxed afternoon as Jessie showed up with her mom and we awaited Kurt’s arrival for their first look. The entire day was laid back without any tension or sense of hurriedness.
The following day at the reception, the air was full of celebration and excitement. We started with some classic Seattle portraits in Pike Place Market, dodging and weaving through the dense crowds while making our way to the Pier at the Seattle Aquarium. Guests arrived to enjoy some sea-entertainment and of course the newlyweds. Did I mention there was lots of pie? Oh, yeah.
This was my first wedding after my retreat at All You Witness. I walked into their day with no expectations of what I would see, photograph or witness. I walked into their day with an open heart, open eyes and a new camera to help me capture it all. I can’t thank Jessie and Kurt enough for inviting me into their day(s), letting me help tell their story and enjoy their company.
