I assume you are reading this blog because you ‘give a damn’ about taking time for self-care. Which you should! Self-care is so important to prioritize especially when you are in the thick of wedding planning. It can get so stressful and you will likely wind up finding yourself feeling a little strung out. Let’s avoid the burnout that comes with wedding planning. Let’s make sure it remains what it’s supposed to be for you: exciting.
So, take action and scroll down below to see some tips to help you with self-care as you plan your wedding day.
01. MENTAL HEALTH
Your mental health is one of the most important things and should always be a priority in your life, especially during the preparation of your wedding. Even if you take a step back for some “you” time, your wedding will still be amazing so please take the time to focus on your mental health. This means relaxing and doing things that calm you. If you aren’t too sure about what to do to relax, I would recommend meditation. Meditating brings you to a calm state of mind and is a great way to clear your head.
02. QUALITY TIME
Be sure to keep some focus on quality time with your soon-to-be spouse as well! It can get overlooked and forgotten very easily. Take some time out of your day or week to have quality time with your spouse. You can do simple things like having dinner together, going to the movies, shopping, or even taking a trip to the mountains or city.
03. RELAX
Make sure to carve out some time to lay on the couch or in your bed and do absolutely nothing. Find an awesome Netflix series to binge on and just chill. Reality TV is always a must. Or, if you are not someone who prefers laying in bed and relaxing then I would suggest taking a trip to the spa! Go get that facial you’ve always wanted and get a massage! You’ll feel like a million bucks afterwards.
04. EATING HABITS
Remember to treat your body well. Eat good food full of vitamins and nutrients. Pay attention to what you are allowing your body to consume and drink lots of water. I always suggest eating high-vibration foods such as leafy greens, nuts, berries, etc. The better you eat, the more energy you will have and the better you will feel mentally!
