Things To Consider When Picking Your Wedding Party

Wedding Tips

One of the most important decisions you’ll make for your wedding day is who to include in your wedding party. Who will be your maid of honor, best man, groomsmen and bridesmaid? Who will be the flower girl and the ring bearer? These are all questions that need answering and they aren’t always easy for everyone to answer. Here are some things to consider when choosing your wedding party, all to ensure your day is as smooth sailing as possible.

Who Is The Most Reliable?

First and foremost, weddings are stressful enough and the last thing you need is someone in your wedding party not showing up, especially if they play an essential role. Choose people that you can count on, if you have that one cousin who is known to be late to everything and being a no show, you may want to think twice.

Don’t Feel Obligated

Just because you were in someone else’s wedding party doesn’t mean they have to be in yours. The truth is, people grow apart and your wedding day should be filled with people who are currently in your life. Every wedding is also different and smaller weddings typically mean smaller bridal party. If you are working with a smaller setting you’ll likely have to make some cuts. Don’t feel bad about not being able to include certain people, if they are truly your people, they’ll understand.

Consider Your Siblings

It’s always good to include your siblings in your party whether they are siblings by blood or by marriage. If you are someone with a small circle and only one or more friends but don’t want your party too sparse, including siblings are a great way to beef it up.

At The End Of The Day, It’s Up To You

Remember, at the end of the day, it’s YOUR day. You and your soon to be spouse have the final say and if you don’t want to include certain people, it’s okay. You want your day to be enjoyable and stress free. If you have to make decisions to ensure it stays that way, then do it!
