When Jordyn and Duncan asked me to come up for their Vashon Island engagement session, I was stoked! Vashon Island is one of the coolest spots in the Greater Seattle Area. I grew very familiar with it last season when I had several weddings and engagements. There is a perfect little hometown cafe called SnapDragon that I HIGHLY recommend you go to. It has the best pastries by far.
Duncan’s family has a gorgeous estate on the island that sits right on the water. Not to mention, it faces the west side for prime sunset viewing. We started at the house and shot down on the beach. Jordyn planned the cutest outfits which matched the location perfectly. I loved how playful Duncan was with Jordyn, making photographing them easy.
We wondered around the island to two other spots that I knew of. Some gorgeous open fields, more tall grass along the water’s edge. All the while, the sun is drenching everything she touches. We headed back to the house for a few final twilight portraits. They even sat in the Adirondack chairs that definitely gave off a Nicholas Sparks vibe.
Thank you so much Jordyn and Duncan for inviting me to your family’s home for your Vashon Island engagement session! I cannot wait for your wedding this summer!
