Vashon Island is a beautiful place in the Pacific Northwest to host an intimate wedding. Truly! With breathtaking views over the water, rolling hills and small downtown areas, it’s too cute.
Kate and Matt’s Vashon Island wedding was hosted at Kate’s family property which truly transformed into a lovely space. Mother Nature tends to provide the best decor, so hosting a wedding in their backyard was stunning! Beautiful and blooming.
With a carnival-like tent, manicured lawns and a gorgeous bright color palette, this wedding had all the best elements wrapped into one. More than pretty flowers or an awesome 8-foot charcuterie board, the thing that truly made this wedding come to life was the community. There was such an amazing outpouring of support, creativity, and services provided by community members who wanted to support Kate and Matt.
There’s something special on Vashon Island. Everyone knows everyone. Everyone helps everyone. And by golly, they have one of the best cafes on the west side of the Cascades (Snapdragon!).
Check out Kate and Matt’s backyard Vashon Island wedding, it is one for the record books! Oh, and just go hop the ferry and actually go. You won’t regret it, I promise.
