Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Kristy and Tyler’s wedding took place in early March at the Loews Hotel 1000 in Seattle. Kristy and Tyler were full of big smiles, happy tears, and extra gratitude for the day that was finally upon them. They shared private vows in the marbled entrance to the Smith Tower in downtown Seattle, occasionally interrupted by the packs of tourists. Don’t worry, it was too #awkward haha! People were very respectful and it gave everyone a chance to breathe.
As a Seattle Wedding Photographer, I see a LOT of weddings downtown. It’s easy to be overwhelmed by all the sights and sounds but Loews Hotel is neatly tucked on the corner of the block with easy access to some of the best spots for Seattle wedding portraits. Their staff is top-notch and the catering was divine. Definitely one of the best kept secrets as far as Seattle wedding venues go.
Kristy and Tyler also capitalized on their time by doing a sparkler exit well before the party was over. This is great for when you want to party into the night but also have that gorgeous end of the night shot. How do we pull it off? Grab all your closest (and most responsible) people and we head out! Everyone snags a sparkler, we do a group huddle safety chat and light up the night! It’s pretty easy to sneak this shot it while not taking away from your celebration.
What I loved most about these two is that their day was filled with love from all places. Family from generations, friends from across the country. It was truly an honor to witness and capture such a beautiful day. Thank you Kristy & Tyler for trusting me with your day, it was an absolute blast!
